Description

The Youth Adventure Program (YAP) is a series of one-week "unique topic" courses of study directed by university faculty. Students select one course in the week of their choice and attend class sessions twice daily. In the afternoons and evenings, the campers are able to participate in social activities, innovative events, and interactive games. Students have access to the Texas A&M Recreation Center and also compete in our heralded "Amazing Race" and "Wacky Olympic" competitions. The camp is residential, and all students are housed in a luxury dorm with adult supervision. Courses for 2011 include: Veterinary Medicine, Business: Advertising & Marketing, 3-D Graphics & Gaming, Architecture, Sport Management, Nautical Archeology, Medicine, Photography, Broadcast Media, Investigative Forensics, VizKids, Physical Science, Robotics, Astronomy, Engineering, and a course devoted to Attending Texas A&M University (information pertaining to applying and getting accepted plus introduction to "The Spirit of Aggieland").
