Description

Sea Camp offers weeklong marine adventures. At Sea Camp (Marine Biology/Ecology, Coastal Ecology and Coral, Crabs & Cuttlefish) campers have access to research vessels, oceanographic equipment, and laboratory facilities, enabling them to learn about the ocean through firsthand experiences. Students travel on the Earl L. Milan, seine in the marsh, visit a sea turtle lab, and attend a marine mammal workshop. Evening activities include a poolside pizza party as well as a beach cookout. Sea Camp: Fishing Camp teaches marine biology/ecology through fishing. Sea Camp: Marine Mammal Workshop is an intense workshop on marine mammals. Sea Camp: Coastal Camping camps out along the Texas coast. Sea Camp: Marine Science Expedition in Canada studies abroad.Additional camps include Sea Camp: Ocean Careers Awareness, Sea Camp: Coastal Photography, Sea Camp: Nautical Archaeology/Oceanography, Sea Camp: Forensics, Sea Camp: Sharks & More, & Sea Camp: Biology of the Sea Turtle.
